Mobile Technology is increasing exponentially, leading to great innovations , this year’s Mobile World Congress promises to bring the best technology available to the public view.

In the recently concluded CES2018 , we saw some very interesting innovations on technology, check here and here and also here for innovation from CES2018 that I had featured. Up next, is the biggest Mobile technology event his year on Mobile technology, I am talking about the Mobile World Congress 2018, you can all follow the event on social media on hashtag #MWC18. The 2016 version was held and shanghai and last year (2017) was at San Francisco.

This year event is hosted in Fira Gran Via with selected events, including 4YFN, taking place at Fira Montjuïc all in Barcelona, Spain, it promises to be amazing. The event is host by GSMA, GSMA simply means GSM Association. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with more than 300 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem. The event will run from 26 Feb to 1st March 2018. The theme for thus year’s event is “Creating a Better Future”.
The GSMA was formed in 1995 as the ‘GSM MoU Association’ as a body to support and promote mobile operators using the GSM. It traces its history back to an memorandum of understanding signed in 1987 by 13 operators in 12 countries that committed to deploying GSM for mobile services.
Full membership of the GSMA is open to licensed mobile operators using a GSM family technology. Approximately 800 such operators around the world are full GSMA members. Associate membership of the GSMA is open to non-operator companies active in the mobile ecosystem. These include handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organisations in industry sectors such as financial services, healthcare, media, transport and utilities. There are approximately 300 GSMA member companies in this category.
