This year’s world leading consumer tech show IFA 2018 takes place from 31 August to 5 September, in Berlin.
IFA or Internationale Funkausstellung (International radio exhibition Berlin, a.k.a. ‘Berlin Radio Show’) is the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances.
Between 1924 and 1939 it used to be an annual event, but after the second world war from 1950 it was organized on a two yearly basis until 2005. Since then it has become an annual event again, held in September. Today the event kicks off in Berlin with Press conferences.
Big As CES but different.
The other big Consumer Electronic show is CES, we did cover some innovations from the events earlier this year. CES maybe the biggest Tech show in the US but IFA is the biggest in Europe.

IFA frequently plays host to several first-time product unveilings and innovations, many of which will simply be repeated at CES in the U.S
Another thing that makes IFA different is the timing. The event takes place just in time for consumers to prepare for the Christmas season buy. A lot of the products displayed we definitely be on consumer’s to buy list.
This unique difference have made IFA 2018, a must attend to manufacturers and tech enthusiaste.
What to expect from IFA 2018?
IFA 2018 will showcase mix of new tech and improved technology.
There will be products that are entirely new, tech solutions to lives difficult, fun tech and many innovations.
The others will be improved new technologies. We will see this in flagship phones, laptops, TV’s and many more. Manufacturers will improve on earlier made products, infusing new technology and re-branding it.
The main events will begin on the 31 Aug 2018. However, press conferences have began today (29 Aug) and will continue tomorrow (30 Aug) .
