The Nokia 8.1 is one of the many Smartphones announced by HMD Global last month.
HMD Global is Nokia’s parent company.
On October 19, a GeekBench listing appears to detail yet another upcoming HMD device – the Nokia 8.1.
GeekBench listed the market moniker rather than the phones code name.
Nokia 8.1 Specs
The HMD Nokia 8.1 will come with a solid smooth body. It will also have High-dynamic-range (HDR). It will likely come with PureDisplay notched panel with 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution and a 5.84-inch diagonal.
It will come with Qualcomm processor, with a topology of 1 Processor, 8 Cores.
Some other hardware details include the Snapdragon 710 chipset, also properly reported with a legible model number and a base frequency of 1.7 GHz.
GeekBench closed the lowest possible GHz of the Chip set. The will probably come with much better speed.
The Nokia 8.1 will also offers solid battery efficiency thanks to its efficient 10nm manufacturing process.
The phone will be coming with a 4GB of rounded-up system RAM on the.
At this time we do not know is if it will have the dual camera of some Nokia Smart phones. We are very sure the camera will come with face detection abilities.
Similarities with Nokia 7.1 Plus
If you are familiar with Nokia 7.1 Plus you would have probably notice the similarities with the proposed Nokia 8.1. Truth is at this stage nothing is certain but most key features look alike. First off, they are both running on Android 9.0 pie. This is due to HMD’s desire to bring the best to it customers. Another reason is HMD’s continued dedication to the Android One program and timely updates for it phones.
Another area they two phones seems similar is the Chip set. The Nokia X7 or 7.1 plus also uses the Snapdragon 710 chip and has 4GB off RAM in its base configuration. For now, we can only assume there would be differences in display size and battery, camera to name a couple of points. But, we’ll just have to wait and see for sure.
