Microsoft have designated January 14, 2020 to stop supporting Windows 7 for free. This will make this popular operating system to become increasingly unsafe to use.

However, businesses that may continue to use Windows 7 for whatever reason will have pay Microsoft for constant support on the OS. This option is strictly for businesses and organizations and it is not available for individual users. This means that as an individual you’ll have to choose between using an unsupported operating system, upgrading to Windows 10, or switching to other Operating systems.

In an email sent to Fox News, Kurt Mackie, Senior News Producer at Converge360, which publishes Redmond Magazine, said ” Window 7 is still very popular”.

He said, “After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end on January 14, 2020,” the software giant said. But ending Windows 7 won’t be a cinch. Released in 2009, it is still one of the most widely deployed operating systems worldwide”.
