Battle for The Fastest Charger is getting hotter
When the new Xiaomi’s 100W Charger is launched it will be the fastest charger in the market, trumping many keen competition.
100W Charger is a huge step up from what you get with phones from other manufacturers. For reference, Samsung and OnePlussupport between 15W and 30W, which already allows for fairly snappy charging. With Xiaomi‘s tech, you won’t need to worry as much about leaving the house without power on your phone.
The company’s chairman, Lin Bin, shared a video on social network Weibo showing a phone with a 4,000 mAh battery charging from 0 to 50 percent in just 7 minutes, and from 50 to 100 percent in additional 10 minutes. That’s twice as fast as Oppo’s SuperVOOC charging – currently the quickest standard available on the market – with a 50W charger. But with Huawei launching Mate X ( it comes with a 55W charger) soon, the foldable phone will hold that title until Xiaomi launches the 100W charger commercially.

According to The Next Web, the new 100W charger by Xiaomi’s will soon go into mass production. The Redmi line will be first to feature it . There’s no timeline for when we’ll see a Redmi phone with 100W charger. But Xiaomi doesn’t usually wait around to bring its latest tech to the masses.
