The Huawei P40 Pro Smartphone has been in the news lately, and there are leaks of the phone shape , size and specs. The phone is rumored to have “zero bezel”. Huawei P40 Pro might quite possibly have one of the biggest screen-to-body ratios of any flagship to date.
The Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro will be revealed in Paris in a few weeks’ time, Huawei’s head of consumer, Richard Yu recently said, with the exact date to be confirmed.
Yu also said that the new models would have a design never before seen. Now, several images have emerged which play to that idea.
Here’s everything we know so far.
The Huawei P40 Pro has “waterfall” screen like it sibling Huawei Mate 30 Pro.A waterfall that flows in every direction.
The P40 and P40 Pro displays seem to curve around all four edges of the phone, not just the long sides , according to leaks from the reliable @OnLeaks and @91Mobiles. The display is referred to as being “zero bezel”.
Additionally, it’s believed that the P40 will have a display sized at or slightly larger than 6.1 inches. The more deluxe P40 Pro will be larger, with a display 6.5 inches or as much as 6.7 inches. There may be a pinhole camera in the middle of the display.

Concerning the camera, there are so many rumors as to what it looks like or what we are to expect. According to some leaks, there will be a large rectangular camera housing on the back of the phone in the top left corner. There will be multiple sensors, as there are on the P30 Pro and Mate 30 Pro, though the exact capabilities of the sensors are to be confirmed. The very latest renders, not proof you understand, come from Target YouTube. These show five camera sensors, including one which is a periscope camera.
As you’ll know, that doesn’t mean the camera rises up from the body of the phone, no, no, it’s that a mirror on the surface is angled so the light is shot sideways inside the body of the phoned. This enables a much bigger zoom than a slim phone would otherwise permit and in this case, according to the ever-reliable Ming-Chi Kuo, picked up by MacRumors, will mean there’s a 10x optical zoom on the P40 Pro.
Which will really be something.
It will definitely be Android, but we know that the Chinese tech giant are working on the own OS. Huawei will use Android but can’t add Google Mobile Services to basic open-source Android. This will make the company speed may up and finally launch its own Harmony Mobile Services operating software to a phone, with enough solid apps for navigation, email. Messaging and more to make it a genuine if fledgling rival to Android.
Many people believe the phone will arrive next month. Our friends at Forbes suggested that since the last two P series handsets were unveiled on 27 March and 26 March respectively, late March seems likely for the P40 series.
